Design & Build

Alongside my design work, I offer a complete design and build service in collaboration with Ty Cefn Ltd, a building company based in Mid Wales. I have worked with a trusted team of tradespeople since 2008.

We have a shared love of timber frame construction, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern methods to create buildings full of character and high energy performance.

Our strength lies in attention to detail, good communication, and providing peace of mind — from the drawing board through to the final finish.Together, we provide a seamless link between design and construction, delivering bespoke projects across the UK.

We especially enjoy working with self-builders and have developed simple, flexible build packages that support hands-on involvement while offering clear financial structure.

Based on the Wales–Shropshire border, we’re always happy to show prospective clients our current and completed projects — a great way to share ideas and explore what's possible.

Services

At RRA Architecture, I offer comprehensive project management—from initial design concepts through planning applications and into the construction phase. Each project is guided by the RIBA Plan of Work, and I utilise RIBA contracts to ensure transparency and professionalism throughout.

You’ll benefit from flexibility throughout the design process. Should you wish to explore alternative main contractors, you are free to do so at any stage. The design contract remains entirely separate from the build contract, allowing for collaboration with a range of contractors across various types of schemes.

My work is supported by a trusted network of experienced consultants in key sectors, including structural and civil engineering, planning consultancy, ecology, contaminated land, surveying, and hydrology.
